My mother's favorite. They have very pretty green stripes on a black background on the top of their wings, but they rarely sit still with the wings folded. This one's a male, the females aren't quite as nicely patterned.

The picture you got of this butterfly is beautiful. I can really see the detail of the the butterfly, even better than when I was actually there. I'm still learning how to take good pictures. I've got to practice more or find a subject matter I like.
