I see these green dragonflies just about everywhere, but finding ones that are calm enough to approach is rare. Most of them sit still just long enough for you to focus then they're off. This is likely a female, and looking at the back of her wings somewhat beat up, but she let me get nice and close. This was on the Beech Forest Trail on the Cape Cod National Seashore in Provincetown MA.
