Six-Spotted Tiger Beetle (Cicindela sexguttata) This is from back in July. These guys are often on forest trails, but from far away just look like iridescent specs. I managed to get close to one. They're very flighty, as soon as you move they normally take off. They also have a painful bite from what I've read. Tuesday, November 24, 2009
