Blue Damselfly
This is the first year I've let the pond sit alone all winter and spring. I didn't move the plants to the bottom of the pond, I left them as is. I didn't try to catch the few remaining mosquito fish last year (in my defense a few had survived the winter before and I didn't know we would have an awful winter or I would have caught them) and this year have just been putting mosquito dunks in the pond. We've had noticeably less mosquitoes, and as a bonus we seem to have dragonflies hatching out. We've never had damsels of dragons hanging around like this before. I've found them in the woods, but never sitting in my garden day after day.
