This year I'm trying again. I'm using the 8 foot PVC pipes from last year, attaching them with metal 1" pipe straps and covering them with new 6 mil plastic. This way I just pull out the pipes and the plastic and store it for the summer, bringing it back out in September.
I'm gonna start some lettuce inside this week.

Daily Photo - Another Cold Frame Attempt...
Last year I made this Cold Frame. Later in the year I made this one. Neither survived the season or the winter. The first one had lots of drainage problems, rain pooled on the top and eventually broke the plastic. The other never closed quite right and got smashed in a high wind in late fall.
